The Teixeira family offers quality, conscientious care of horses at their boarding and training facility.

I have had the pleasure of keeping horses there for a variety of reasons; training with Carmen, self board or full board for winter riding and lessons, stall rehab after surgery, barn exposure and training of my own horses. All have been great experiences that cultivated lifelong friendships as well. These are truly great people who love the horses in their care as if they were their own.

The atmosphere is inclusive and energetic yet relaxed and fun. Horsmanship, horse husbandry and safety are at the forefront on a daily basis. Carmen works closely with the local vets and has great relationships there, where she is respected and value. As a trainer, coach and barn manager Carmen is very approachable, professional, knowledgeable, encouraging and supportive.

I look forward to the next time I have a horse up there! We always have a lot of laughs and great rides and I sleep easy knowing my horse is well looked after.

I’ve had the privilege to provide farrier services at Teixiera’s for the past 12 years. Also getting to know them on a personal level. Carmen always keeps close attention to the horses health and is very abreast of what’s going on , addressing anything of concern promptly. Horses foot health is of concern to me as a farrier and I’ve always found their stabling cleanliness excellent resulting in good hoof health. 

It is always good to see Frances at the barn working WAY to hard but giving that extra that everything needs and of course Jose is happy to keep an eye on me just to make sure the farrier is on track.

Over the last couple winters I’ve rented stalls/pasture space out of Teixeira Performance Stables. The care of the facility is always in a clean, exceptional working state. The care of the horses shows they are part of the Teixeira family. 

Excellent footing in the arenas that are always professionally groomed . The years of equine knowledge between Carmen and her family makes you feel comfortable knowing your horses will always have expert eyes on them. 

If anyone is looking for a facility to board at or a trainer to help excel you in the show pen. Teixeira Performance Stables is at the top of my recommendation list.

For experience and dedication, you won’t find a better stables than Teixeira Performance Stables.  The Teixeira family are renowned for their excellence in horsemanship (training, showing and breeding), equine husbandry and their friendly personalities.   They live on site at their full faculty barn and care for all the horses as though they were their own.

Teixeira Performance Stables is a full boarding facility that offers everything we need including a variety of good boarding options such as turn outs with shelters, inside stalls and pasture. There are indoor and outdoor arenas and a round pen, a heated, secure tack room, a warm water wash stall and kind, knowledgeable people who are friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Teixeira Performance Stables.
